no image when i play videos

Hi,

I use to work with video studio 10. Do my compilations. and when i start to play my videos, i listen to the sound, but the image do not appear , just when i paused the video. It happens to me in my two computers and i don't no why.
Anyone can help me? is very urgent cause i use that at my work.

Do you have the Instant Playback target set for Preview Window? Go to File>Preferences>General Tab to check.

As was described before, when selecting a clip from the Video library and then trying to play the clip, only the audio is heard. When the video is paused the still image of the video is seen. The file I am trying to use is an MPEG-2. I tried to watch one of the video files that comes with the program and had the same result. I checked the settings as mentioned but still had no success...

Any suggestions?

I might also mention when importing the video from file the utility in the program played the video without a problem. Once in the program it did not work.

Turning on the "Smart Proxy" did it... At least in the project viewing but not in the clip viewing... Ah well 1 out of 2 isn't bad!
