None of that is true. Vista does have new security restrictions that have been trouble for certain programs. This was an upgrade from XP on my new Dell notebook. Preferences worked fine under XP.

Every day numerous posts are being made regarding problems with software and the user has a Vista Operating system.
Before posting on this forum please make sure that
1. You have checked the products System Requirements to ensure that Vista is listed as a valid operating System.
2. If it is not listed then check the Product Updates Page to see if a Patch has been released to make the software compatible with Vista.
REMEMBER most of the existing Ulead software was written and released BEFORE VISTA and so you should assume that unless informed otherwise that it WILL NOT work with VISTA.
Ok. But I have the Ulead videostudio 10 Vista 'patch' applied. So if the Ulead Vista patch is out and what I am describing in my original post is the case, then the Vista patch needs more patching.
