MovieFactory 6 Wish List For future Versions
Now that MovieFactory 6 has been released I have locked the previous thread and started this new one.
Every so often I have contact with a Ulead employee or software engineer regarding new versions. It is always handy if I can point them to a thread such as this.
Please keep any suggestions sensible - plus this is not a place to complain about what YOU may consider to be bugs or faults. Those items should be placed in a new thread or tagged onto an exisiting one dealing with that same issue.

How many wishes haven't been granted?
Thanks, Steve.
We shouldn't just forget the wishes from the MF5 thread that haven't been granted in MF6, though.
Can you tell us which have and which haven't?
We need to carry over into this thread the ones that haven't been granted.

We can post our wants here, but it is up to interVideo*Ulead what gets implemented.

First, I'd like to compliment MF6+ project team for stability when working with standard video formats and the added features such as "field_order_selection, match project properties, multi-trim module". This release of MF6 in my opinion has been the best. Running on P4's - 3.2Ghz HT cpu.
1. MovieFactory 6+ has been installed on my machine and runs stable 3.2Ghz P4 - XP_SP2, keep it up. Program Stability and good beta testing before releasing any new product is always #1.
2. - Support for files in the transport stream. Presently I use VS10+ to convert my .m2t files to mpg (program stream). This support works in my MF5 standard release. Sometimes I have to hold the "Shift" key that says "Apply to all files" to get this to work (even when converting only one .m2t file).
I have a PlayStation 3 so these added features could be very useful for people that have PS3's and all the other hardware playback consumer equipment.
More of these Multi-Format players are coming into the market.
1. - AVCHD output encoding and capability to burn a AVCHD DVD, PS3 plays the avchd mini-dvd's produced on these cams directly on the PS3.
2 - Blu-Ray Menuing Support (Pretty sure this is coming). Can Blu-Ray format be burnt to DVD? Would be nice.
3- Better documentation or a tips & tricks pdf file that can be referenced so when users post questions on the forum someone can say "See page 4 - Exporting Tips & Tricks.
4. - Don't overbloat MF7 with useless features,
And LAST - Port this program so it can run on a MAC, Write a MAC version of MF6/7.

How about some simple text editing...
like in the menu/chapter titles ? I can't select all of the text (neither ctrl-a nor shift-cursor) nor copy/paste. Have to always go to the end and backspace or hold delete.
When in the burn-page / create disc image. Can't just type in the directory/file name. Have to browse to it. What a waste of time when creating multiple ISO images in the same directory and all I want to do is increment the last digit.
More burner support would be nice, as well. It won't talk to my 20x LiteOn. Always crashes or errors out.
Oh and what about auto erase of an RW ? If I have a previously used RW in the drive, it keeps telling me it can't use it instead of asking if I want to erase it.
