I have a question about the capture settings on my Videostudio 10+.
I'm using a VideoXpress capture device plugged in my PC's USB port.
In the options section of my Videostudio, it allows you to change "Video and Audio Capture Property Setttings".
Under Audio source it give you to options.
1. USB 2.0 Analog Audio Device
2 Realtek HD Audio Device
FIRST QUESTION:What is Realtek HD Audio Device used for? And being that I'm capturing from my camcorder via A/V outputs, I should be using the USB 2.0 audio device setting...correct? When is Realtek used?
In the video capture settings, the slider bar is adjustable from speed---to---quality. The slider is preset at 80% towards quality.
I usually only capture 3-4 minutes of footage at a time
SECOND QUESTION: Would it make sense to turn the slider to 100% quality? How much difference would it make?
THANKS FOR ANY INFO!

If your capture device is USB2. then yes choose that one. It is recommended to use Firewire if at all possible. Read this Post concerning the USB vs Firewire issue for capturing video.
It might make some difference. As it states speed to quality. Sliding it up could provide a little boost toward quality, however you sacrifice speed. Going the other way of course you will sacrifice quality. 80% is a good medium place, and generally VS does a good enough job on estimating that setting. Most of us just leave it at the default setting.
