WinDVD 8 Platinum problem

After using the trial version of WinDVD 8 Platinum, I purchased the product. However, when I activated it, features from the trial version (audio modes and video modes, etc.) were made unavailable to me. It was my understanding that these features were a part of WinDVD 8 Platinum, at least according to the comparison chart between the Gold and Platinum editions of WinDVD 8.

It seems I paid for the Platinum edition and only got Gold features, yet the version I have still says Platinum. Any idea why these features from the trial version are suddenly missing when I bought the product?
