Capturing video from another homemade DVD
I'm using an old version of Ulead (VideoStudio6). Can I capture video from a DVD with BUP IFO and VOB files (these file types are Greek to me BTW). If so, how? Would love help on this - I'm creating a video project of my 10-year old's hockey season.
VS6 is old and I don't exactly remember so others will have to chime in.
You change the "Capture Plugin" to (sorry one of them).
When you have chosen the correct capture plugin when you click on Capture a screen will pop-up to navigate to the dvd and import it's chapters.
VS10 has a much easier interface to use for extracting dvd's.
If the dvd was recorded in one of the Handycams then the audio will probably be Dolby which VideoStudio 6 didn't support unless you bought the additional plug-in. So after importing the video VideoStudio 6 may not play the audio.
You can also download & install the trial version of VS10 to extract the contents of the dvd. I think the trial version of VS10 will support Dolby Audio.
