NO SOUND Please help

Post by runsft »

I have a WinTV0-HVR 950.
Under setup/ device/audio i have Sigma Tel C-Major Audio as the input. I have no sound on WinDVR. I have the cable input coming through WinTV-HVR 950.

The only input option is Sigma and i have no other options.
I can't change it to WinTV and I think i need to.

Any suggestions.

I could use any help

Thank you

I think you mean you have a Hauppauge WinTV HVR950.
If so I suggest you record with WinTV2000 and then import your recording.

The HVR950 is what is termed a Hybrid TV card.
When tuned into an analogue channel VideoStudio 10 does not 'see' the card - though VideoStudio 9 would.

When tuned into a digital channel VideoStudio can see and record the TV card.

I am a firm believer that when you have software designed to work with a particular piece of hardware it is generally better to use that software because it has been purposely tweaked for them to work with each other.

The recording modules of other software such as VideoStudio, MovieFactory, MediaStudio are great for someone who may have come by a piece of hardware second hand and was not supplied with the software native to the hardware.
