Luckily the internet is evolving fast and we no longer have to settle for crummy flash videos.
It's pretty frustrating spending a lot of time on a quality video
only to see that quality completely go down the drain by the flash conversion.

Here's the alternative, pretty much the same as Youtube, Veoh, etc,
but with the main difference that these guys offer full quality streaming Divx:
Http://www.stage6.divx.com/ (An initiative of the Divx.com group).

Streams are fast and you can even download the files with a single click.
I've downloaded full quality 700mb files in less than 30 mins.
It just takes a small install of a browser divx codec to make things work.

I have posted over 200 musicvideoclips in this channel:
http://stage6.divx.com/TV-Jungle_Music_Videos (Mainly 80's pop & rock)
Simple conversions, no UVS edits.
No more Stage 6 !!

I have a video that is 1 gig in size. I have been told it is amazing and therefor, I would consider sharing it.

I created it using VS 11 Plus, Photoshop CS3, Blufftitler, Adacity, SnagIt, IE7Pro, YouTube, and several songs from my stock of songs and free ware.

I have no qualms about putting it up to share except for two things:

I should get permission I guess from the parents about putting it on the web in this forum. I would suspect, some will not and if not all, it aint a gonna happen.

Also I have a concerns about the songs. One is Phil Collins, and two are Bruce Springstein, and one it the theme from Scarface.

Can you enlighten me about the use of my songs in a video, that is posted on the web. I am not going to break any rules.

While I'm certain there are numerous members here that would enjoy seeing your production, I think that you should error on the side of caution.

1. Publishing or broadcasting copyrighted material is prohibited on any of the hosting sites, such as YouTube, and Veoh.

2. You stated that you used YouTube in the creation of your production. I'm not sure in what way, however YouTube specifically prohibits any downloading and/or copying of material on their website. Quote from YouTube's Terms of Use, Rule#5 E.
E. You agree to not engage in the use, copying, or distribution of any of the Content other than expressly permitted herein, including any use, copying, or distribution of User Submissions of third parties obtained through the Website for any commercial purposes.
So if you downloaded someone else's material to use in your production, it may be violating YouTube's policies.

It also states that you must have full permissions for all material contained in your submissions.

I point these issues out because recently hosting sites are coming under pressure for copyright infringement, and some places like the UK have been trying to enact laws where sites like YouTube, are held accountable if they do not police themselves.

Sorry, I should have clarified the YouTube issue. I used it for the tutorials. Specifically (today in fact) a tutorial on Audacity. I have also used to view tutorials on the other applications.

This is an excerpt from our family DVD for 2007.

It is a slide show from the month of July created with VS10+ about 32 MB and runs for 3 min 43 sec

Let me know what you think. Criticisms are welcome.
