Pro. Looks like both accounts are admin accounts, but I might be missing something. Any insight is welcome.

Firstly make sure you have turned OFF simple file sharing
Here's how

Now when you go into Windows Explorer or Registry Editor you can view the permissions that each user has by right clicking a file or a folder and checking the security tab. You can add or remove permissions by clicking the boxes that you see on the security tabs.

Now check that each of the users who will be using VideoStudio have full permissions for the directory C:\Program Files\Ulead - and all of the sub-folders below.

Do the same for C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems
and also the directory containing your source files.

Now run regedit and navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ulead Systems
Make sure that your users have permissions here also.
For the next step you have to log on as each individual user
run Regedit and navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ulead Systems
Check the permissions here.

Ok, I followed those steps and I did indeed need to turn off file sharing and I did have to check boxes for permission in some areas, so I'm feeling like I'm making progress perhaps, but I'm still getting the same problems I've been having, same error, same problem with no thumbnails/videos in library in my other desktop. So, now, do I need to simply restart my computer, do I need to do another fresh install? What's my next step. I'm very thankful that there seem to be many here who are much smarter than me. Thanks again

The library files are called :

VS_Image.dat
VS_Video.dat
VS_Audio.dat
VS_Title.dat
VS_Flash.dat

etc

C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\10.0

If you delete these files and restart VideoStudio it should recreate them.
You can also try copy/paste from the working user account to the faulty one.

IT WORKED IT WORKED IT WORKED!!! Please pardon me if I sound overly excited. I've been having problems with this for months (weeks and weeks before I ever posted) I thought I was doomed but that actually worked. I'm in shock! Whatever I tried to do, it kept giving me that same error and now... it works flawlessly (well, I supose I should try it out a little more before I say that, but no error! I can't believe it)
Thank you so much. I hope this thread is helpful to others that encounter the same problem. Thank you so much for all the help!
