error 4570: failed to reuse converted cache files

Post by puregood1 »

I get the above error when either trying to burn a DVD or output a disk image when I use the preferences TV-Screen format PAL instead of NTSC. The program works fine when using TV-Screen format NTSC.

However I want to burn my DVD both for my use (in the US) and for my sister (in the UK).

The original AVIs I am using are in format DV-AVI (NTSC). Is this the problem or does something else need to be done to fix this problem?

Regards

What version of DVD MovieFactory you use? Is it full or trial version?

If it's not a trial version, have you applied update packs in http://www.ulead.com/tech/dmf/dmf.htm ?

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply. I am using DVD MovieFactory version 3.0.

I just installed the two update packs from the link you provided and tried it again last night but it failed again with the same error.

What next?

Error Message 4570 ???????Please help

Post by Jerry O »

I just bought Movie Maker 4 so I could make slide shows with my pictures.
It works great as long as I dont try and put the on a DVD. I am using the music provided with the program and the pictures are JPEGs taken with a standard digital camera. The whole program including menu does just what I want (while still in the computer)
I get two error messages when I try to burn my DVD. (or even burn to a file folder)

(1) " Convert Step got some problems (4570)"

(2) Unspecified error report ID oX800411da(4570)

This is not mentioned in the book nor on their web site have I wasted my money with this program and should I tell my friends about how hard it is to get help at this web site?
If any one can help me fix this problem I sure would appreciate it.

The third problem is I keep having to remove this program and reinstall it to get it to open. I am running a current version of Norton AV but this is driving me nuts.

Sincerely
Jerry O
