Lord behold, Movie Factory 6 is currently working, and I even edited and burned a disc.
Did the following,
A. Used Windows registry and cleaned up some bad entries.
B. Deleted any unused data on my PC.
C. Used the recommended site above ( Chkdsk /r ) tTo clean the drive.
D. Printed the MF6 Users Guide page 1-62 .
E. Deleted the instal files that was downloaded from Ulead from my desktop.
Rats, their goes my foreign tax credit. Do have my fingers crossed.

Chkdsk /r doesn't really clean the drive.
It check's for bad sectors on the harddisk which results in an un-stable windows system. Bad sectors raise hell on any computer, same as having a bad memory chip.
Under the Properties for your system drive under the TOOLS tab there should be 2 ways to check the drive.
Without checking any of the 2 boxes a simple check with no corrections is perfored.
If you check the top box any errors in the FAT (file allocation with be repaired), have to reboot because the drive is locked.
Pretty sure the bottom selection will perform the same as a command window "chkdsk /r".
It's best to run this overnight because it can take a very long time.
If you do get or have reported bad sectors I suggest to keep an eye on that and occassionally run the program. If more sectors continue to be marked as defective it's best to exchange the drive for a new one.
Good to hear it's working.
