Hi all, thanks to Steve, Dan, HT and others for your help which was hindered by my general ignorance of Audio terminology and setup.
For hours I was unable to get any of the Audio Editors (Audacity/ Goldwave etc) to Record and convert my Midi files to Wave/ Mp3 via Windows Media Player, because I wasn't using the correct imput setting in the Editor programme which should have been set to (Wave Out Mix).
I had mistakenly assumed that the setting of (Wave Out Mix) referred to the output from the 'Editor' and not the output from my sound card.
I also found that it was a great help to the co-ordination of the Select, Play and Record process, to have the Editor Programme, MediaPlayer and the Midi File Folder open and visble at the same time by resizing them on the same screen. Regards Roy.
