Hi there,
I'm looking for a software program that can give me the following scenerio: I've recorded a video clip of a man sitting and talking near a framed photograph of, let's say, a young woman holding a baby. Somewhere in this scene the baby cries and the man turns his head, only to see and hear the woman in the photograph soothing the baby. I've seen similar videos on television but don't know a program capable of doing this. Maybe someone can help me?
Thanks,
Lori

What you are describing appears to be a Chroma-key or "green-screen" effect. The man would be recorded in front of a chroma-key screen. These can be green, blue, whatever, but commonly are green or blue. Then the program uses the Chroma-key to filter out the color. Then you can place some other video or image or just color behind the man.
This can be done with just to name a few...
Or if you are just wanting a Still Image then just a PNP (picture in picture) effect, any of those mentioned above can do that too, and (PNP) is much easier to accomplish. To do that the program must have video overlay tracks.
You would place your video in a lower track, and the image in an overlay track.
