Error installing windvd

I downloaded version 8 of windvd and started to install. during the install process a window opened up titled "WinDVD errors" "Error 1904.Module C:\Program Files\Intervideo\Common\Bin\Sharpness.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147220473. Contact your support person.

I hit ok and hit it about 10 more times before it continued with the installation. It seemed to work ok but when I try to run the program I get a windows error and cannot run windvd. I previously had windvd v4 installed and it worked fine. I uninstalled the both versions of windvd and tried again with the same result.

Help. any suggestions. i am running winxp and the updates are current.

Some components are not been installed properly, since you get the error while you install it.

You could contact InterVideo Tech Support to see if they would help.
