I have tried everything I can think of such as reinstalling according to the directions......shut down programs I thought might be a problem. Took off Video Studio 9 as it seems like it might have started around that time.
It worked a few times on my new HP Windows Media Center with T.V. etc ......and HP m7640n. 2 giagbytes of memory etc. Computer is only a few months old. It starts by showing half the screen on the side with a message error .........when it says Photo Impact has encountered a problem and needs to shut down. I keep seeing this AppName: iedit.exe AppVer: 10.0.0.0 ModName: xulparser.dll. I have put xulparser.dll in the search engines and do come up with some things on it so people other than myself have had this problem. I just have not found the answere yet. Photo Impact works on my other computers o.k but this is the computer I use the most and don't want to have to go start up the other computers so I can use Photo Impact every time.
I start up in safe mode and version 10 works fine......must be a conflict somewhere I am missing........any ideas?
Thank You
Nancy
Photo Impact Version 10 crashes and can't get into it.

I have the same problem.
It suddenly started without a reason I could find.
I also tried reinstalling PI 10 and about anything else I could think of.
No chance.
But there seems to be a work around, even if its not really satisfying.
If you right click the iedit.exe and select properties you can set it to run under WIN98 mode.
Since I did that I can start my version of IE10 again but I found out that it doesn't save any of my personal settings (custom tool bar). I now assume that something is wrong with the file saving these custom settings under WIN XP as I also had an error message a few times, telling me that the required file format was unknown and that IE had to be shut down because of an unexpected error.
I can work again but I am not really happy.
