I have two questions I hope someone could answer.
1) If I buy WinDVD 8.0, can I load it on my desktop computer and my laptop using the same registration number?
2) When I loaded WinDVD 8.0, it uninstalled my previons version of WinDVD that was preloaded when I bought my laptop. Does anyone know how can I get a free old version of WinDVD?
I appreciate your help.
Thanks.....

Hope this helps.

I think you can only run 1 copy at the same time, legally.ctter wrote:1) If I buy WinDVD 8.0, can I load it on my desktop computer and my laptop using the same registration number?
When you install a new version of InterVideo products, it will automatically upgrade the old version to the new one. If you want to get it back, check the installation CD with your laptop. If you do not have the install CD of the preloaded WinDVD, contact the laptop manufacturer.ctter wrote:2) When I loaded WinDVD 8.0, it uninstalled my previons version of WinDVD that was preloaded when I bought my laptop. To assist my efforts in answering queries on this forum I tend to keep older versions installed. Taking as an example MovieFactory 5+ - the installation removes MovieFactory 5 (Standard) and so to keep both version I had to employ a work round.
Step 1. Copy the entire DVD MovieFactory 5 (standard) directory to another location (not move - copy)
Step 2. Install the new version DVD MovieFactory 5+
Step 3. Move the copied directory from step 1 back to the original location.
Step 4. Create the necessary shortcuts to the Windows Start menu for the original installation.

Question..Movie List
As I play movies on InterVideo "WinDVD" version 5.0, is there any place where there is a list of the movies played? Like some type of drop down box? I know you can create a play list but that would need to be created manually correct?
thx!!!
