Continuous scrolling credits

Post by Perry »

Has anyone done continuous scrolling credits with Video Studio. By this I mean credits that scroll from bottom to top like at the end of a major motion picture (not that anything I create can be compared to a Major Motion Picture  ). I have only been able to figure out how to do this for a few credits at once.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, the problem is you can't see your lettering past the first screen, at least I can not. So, once I figure out how many letters I can use across the safe area, I type out my titles in a text editor. If I want a space between titles I'll hit enter a few times to drop lines:

and Mr. Crabs

Cut and past the whole thing into the title window and test the result.

And that assumes you are using the first selection in the FLY Animation selection in VS10. Again, I don't see anyway to see below the first screen so you will have to test, preview and test again.

The only way I know of is to click on the text box to activate it (yellow trim handles appear around it), then push the box up with the little finger pointing hand cursor thingy. That way you can at least see if your text is still within the title safe area (and if you've spelled everything correctly ).

I myself start typing. As the safe area fills up in the preview window, I use the mouse to push the last line up to the top of the preview window and keep typing. I then use a block of color of my chose and extend it in the timeline to what ever timing I need for the credits to roll by in the proper timing. I use VS10 Plus.

Just tried that and it works :P

My problem before was using the yellow trim and trying to move it up but it wanted to expand side to side also. I was grabbing the wrong thingy

You should never grab the wrong thingy. That always gets you into trouble.
