video codec

can someone help me. I have windows vista and I tried to load the software for my samsung camcorder SC-X205L but the video codec wont load. I successfully did this on my desktop with windows XP.

You will have to get help from Microsoft or the supplier of your camcorder. Nothing we can do about it I'm afraid.

It's part of the price you pay for being a 'Vista' pioneer, there's going to be a lot of hardware that will need new drivers and some that will never be compatible.
A practical work around would be to have a dual boot system.

Reload XP onto another Hdd install your Camera and Capture software to it, capture your Video to Hard Drive. You can then edit in 'Vista' or 'XP'.
