Videostudio 10 upgrade

Post by Mrtibbs »

Hi
I've just got the videostudio 10plus upgrade disc and it's intalled without any problems. Can I now delete my previous versions of 8 and 9 or will this cause problems with my upgraded version?

Thanks in advance for your help.

It should cause no problem at all. With VS9, there appeared to be a problem with one of the files being erased. But if there is any change in activity, then simply do a reinstall, or if you have the full CD version, a Repair, and any missing file will be reinstalled.

For what it is worth, though, I keep VS8, 9 and 10+ all installed on my system, and they all work well, independently of each other. I keep them in order to test out answers on this Board, as a matter of fact...

Well, this is an interesting one. I know we are experiencing difficulties in posting answers and often get doubles. But I only pressed once, as I usually do. But with this particular answer, after pressing once, and then wending my way back to the Board index, as I usually do, I found that nonetheless I had two replies posted anyway.

Come on, Admin, fix this silly problem. It has been going on for well over a month now, and though I am a very patient person, it is starting to p.ss me off mightily, especially when I am taking the time during my vacation overseas to write the occasional reply!!!!!!!

Actually seems to be working correctly today.

Ken, maybe your salty language was enough of a kick in the pants to get the job done!

Thanks Ken

I may just keep them all then as when I deleted 8 after installing 9, 9 never worked properly until I had re-installed 8.

Thanks very much for the quick reply. :)
