AC 3 content

Post by dianej »

Hi
I'm trying to edit a dvd vob and when I imported one section--all the other sections worked --an error message as follows comes up.

"The Imported DVD video contains AC-3 audio tracks. DVD MovieFactory does not support this audio format. Please convert the audio first to a compatible format."
There is no sound on the video now. All the other sections also contained the ac-3 and I had no problems

Tried changing the template but I can not uncheck anything =-I only jave lpcm or mpeg which you are not supposed to use.

Thanks for any help

Only the full Disc Creator version supports AC-3, I think you will need to upgrade.

Hi

I fixed some of my other video vob sections and they were also ac3-audio
and they managed to be imported okay.
Why would this one not go through, if the other ones did?

Thanks

In your case I think the VOB file might have some errors so DVDMF cannot import them correctly.

If you wish to burn DVDs with AC-3, you will need the Disc Creator version. If you only wish to burn DVDs with MPEG or LPCM audio then DVDMF standard version should be able to do the job.

Sorry that I misunderstood your problem in my last post.

Hi

Yes I only plan on burning a dvd with lpcm audio . But how do I change the ac3 format into a lpcm format?
Is there some kind of free program that wil change the formats so I don't have to invest in another program (such as the disc creator)as I am only encountering this problem once so far and Mfactory is quite sufficient for my purposes.

Thanks again

If the video with AC-3 portion is been loaded correctly, DVDMF should be able to do the convert job for you.

If it does not, then you will need to check the update packs from http://www.ulead.com/tech/dmf/dmf.htm or contact Ulead Tech Support.

Hope this helps.
