Capture Video Problem with Dazzle DVC 150

I am trying to capture VHS tape video that passes thru a Dazzle DVC 150 into Ulead V8.00.100.

When I start V8, it automatically comes up in the Edit Step. When I select the Capture Step, V8 automatically recognizes that I have a Dazzle hooked to the USB 2.0 port. However the format indicator comes up as AVI. And I then get a warning saying that ULead is "Unable to Switch to Capture Mode. Check if your video capture driver is working correctly. Cannot preview. [15200:33:6], [15023:4:2]

Any suggestions on how to get this set up running?

I am using an HP Compaq NC6000. the Capture Options are Video Composite, NTSC.

I do know that the Dazzle is working since I can get some video thru the Studio 8 s/w that came with it. The Studio 8 s/w fails way too often so I thought I would use VS8 but I am not having any luck with it so far.

The Dazzle is a proprietary hardware capture device. It will not work with VideoStudio.

Do a search for Dazzle, DVC150 and DVC 150 on this web board for some extra hints, tips and other potential software solutions.
