I have an old video that I am currently trying to convert. The video currently displays in 4:3 but is actually a 16:9 widescreen format. I have captured the video in 4:3 format so that the video has the correct look to it (people dont look squished.). Now what I want to be able to do is to crop the 4:3 video to remove the black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. Inside video studio I have tried just about every single option, and switching the video to 16:9 just puts additional bars on the left and right side shrinking the video even further. Any idea's how I can crop the bars off of the top and bottom and be left with a 16:9 video that is the correct aspect ratio? Any help would be much appreciated. BTW, the cropping filter does not work for doing this.

You should be able to use the Cropping filter in Video Studio.
