Can someone explain what the difference is between capturing in "Lower Field" and "Upper Field"?
Using Video Studio 10+, I am capturing a VHS analog tape through a Sony Handycam to my CPU using a firewire cable. From my readings on recommended procedures, etc. on the ulead forums, it states to use a lower field for digital capture and upper field for analog capture.
I am looking for an explanation as to why the difference in fields.
I think my set up of capture (i.e. using the sony handycam to digitize my analog tape) would use the lower field. Am I correct?
Thank you for your help.
