Error code recording to DV Recorder

I am getting an error that states "DV Recording only supports AVI files using a DV video codec. This file is not a DV AVI file and cannot be recorded to your camcorder." How do I fix this error? It is an AVI format file.

It maybe AVI but probably not DV-AVI. AVI can contain anything.

Not DV-AVI

How do you create a DV-AVI file? I used a 10 second test clip and it is not recording it.
