Video filter settings won't stick

Post by jparnold »

I have just 'discovered' the Enhance Lighting Filter courtesy of the Ulead Learning Centre

I have used other filters (brightness, sharpness etc) successfully before without any problem however when using the Enhance filter I note that the default settings (Fill Flash 76 and Enhance Shadow -11) do not seem to be changeable.

I have changed these settings to other values but if I return to Customise Filter I find that the values have changed back to the default settings. I note that there is an AUTO 'button' to select but this does not seem to have any affect.

I have to confirm your findings. But I also discovered something strange.

Add a couple of keyframes to that filter. Now click OK to close the Customization. Now open the Customization again. The numerical values of the two effects disappear. Remove the keyframes, close and reopen the Customization and the values reappear.

Another VideoStudio mystery.

Hi guys,

Do such problems get referred on to Ulead by anyone for action?

BTW still waiting for them to fix 'auto replies' which still doesn't work for me - what about you guys?

I'm seeing this problem also, in VS-11. Has any workaround or fix emerged? And how does one "add key frames", and what does that do? THANKS

You'd certainly think they would fix a problem from a previous version.

See the Video Filters section of this tutorial.
