Unable to install Cool3D.5 (using Windows Vistaa)

Have tried installing C3D via a backup CD and also a new download. During install I receive an error message that several files fail to register. When I click on the icon to start the program, I receive an error, "This application has failed to start because d3drm.dll was not found". I have tried running the Repair utility and the problem still persists. Thanks.

From the VideoStudio 10 Vista Update page:

WinDVD 7, PocketDV show, and Cool3D are not supported.

Hi,

You could not use COOL 3D 3.5 or earlier on Windows Vista because Windows Vista does not include the DirectX Retained Mode API support.

However, you can still use Ulead COOL 3D Production Studio because it has changed to support DirectX Immediate Mode API, which still works on Windows Vista.
