George W. thanks for the info on how to create a separate folder containing the JPG's from a slideshow. I can see how to access those JPG's from my computer but seem unable to do so from my set top DVD player. Can you explain a bit more? Maybe something at the menu creation stage.

The pictures in a Personal Folder (that you include with your DVD) will not be available in a set-top DVD Player -- the DVD Player only sees the DVD Structure you have created -- not the Folder of pictures. If you included them as a "Slideshow", then the viewer can watch the slideshow...
