capture problem VS 8.01

1.4 Mhz Athalon
XP SP 2
512 Mb memory
60 Gb drive (47 Gb free)
Matrox G450 eTv Marvel card

I need help - no matter what data rate I use VS 8 errors out at 4.1xx Gb
msg: Data Rate too high or insufficient disk space

help - help - please help

What is the file system on your hard drive? If it is FAT32, there is a 4Gb limit on file sizes that can be created. NTFS has no such limitation and could be the answer to your problem.

I have fat 32, I'll load up an NTSF formatted drive and try again.
