MSP 7.0 SP2 Anyone?

Post by NyahKitty »

Hello,

I just wiped my system drive and am in the laborious process of re-installing my softwares. I'm unclear on what to do about this here MSP 7.0 SP2. The notation says it's for a FULL version of 7.0 ONLY. Although it may be painfully obvious to everyone else I do wonder if this means my upgrade to 7.0 is off limits then.

Oh yes, since I started with 6.0 do I need to install all patches for it, then install the 7.0 upgrade, and then install all latest patches for that? Or need I only concern myself with the 7.0 patches at this time?

Thanks!

If you have the 6.0 on a disk, you probably can install 7.0 directly. It will probably ask for the disk or the serial number and then you can install the 7.2 upgrade. Worst case, it will tell you there is no installation of 6. You definitely don't need to bother with the patches for 6 since you're continuing on to V 7.

Give it a try or wait for someone who has done the upgrade path before. I have the full version so I can't comment that well.

You can try to install MSP7 Upgrade directly then install the MSP7 SP2 patch.
