Picture sizes

I'm starting a new project in MSP 7, with HDV plug-in.
All the pictures (photos) inserted are previewed in a wrong ratio, about 4/3 instead of 16/9. I've choosen "source frame size" and "keep aspect ratio" everywhere.
No problem with mpeg videos in 1440(1920)x1080.
Any idea about my problem ?
(in simple english please, I'm french).

What size are your images, in pixel * pixel?

770 X 430 pixels

Your images are the wrong aspect ratio. Thats why they are distorted.

I know they are not in the same ratio as the full screen, but they don't have to : they are just moving on the screen. We can have square pictures or any rectangular sizes.
I did it already, but I don't remember how, and so, why it doesn't work this time.
