VS 9 SE closing without any warning

Post by zzuzu »

I have one problem. When I'm trying to save my created clip and click on Create Video File in Share, it will everytime close without any warning. I have no idea where's problem. :(

I have Win XP Media Center Edition, 2MB ram and 36GB free space and K-lite codecs plus few others.

Could someone help me, please? Thanks.

Welcome to the forums,

Possible causes:
  1. WinXP MCE was not supported until VS10
  2. Applications running in the background that is conflicting with VS
  3. Video file format is causing VS9se problems
In case of #1, you would need to upgrade to VS10 or VS10+ Click Here

In case of #2, it is recommended to shut down / disable all background applications that are not essential. There is a tutorial provided for Creating a Video Editing Profile

In case of #3, there are some formats like DivX, Xvid, MPEG-4, that are highly compressed formats, and are intended for distribution not editing. While some people are successful at editing these formats, several are not. For instances VS9 (full version) requires a plug-in to be able to render an MPEG-4 video file. This is provided with VS10+. However not knowing anything about your project properties, video file properties, workflow etc., it is difficult to provide any helpful advise along this line.

A Recommended Workflow has been developed to help guide you through the mine-field of video editing, as it pertains to Ulead's VideoStudio Programs. They can be viewed here:

Please read this post, and return with as much of the information as possible.

Please complete your System Information in your profile. Clicking on this button -->Image will take you to a short tutorial, explaining how to find and complete that information. This way it will always be available, and will save you from retyping it in the future.
