PI 11 quirk with Vista

I am trying to use PI 11 with Vista 32 bit. The only problem I have seen is when I save a file, I get an old-style Save As dialog box, not the usual one with the compression and other options. Does anyone know of a workaround?

Yes this is a strange quirk. PI-11 is not Vista compatible. So you will have to upgrade to PI-12 to be able to run it on Vista.

Well I tried installing the Trial ver. of PI 12 on my Vista machine first but it wouldn't run telling me I needed to activate it first. But it never offered me the little dialogue box to activate the trial copy so it was an endless loop to nowhere. That's when I figured I'd just install PI 11.

Any ideas how to get around the non-activation problem in PI 12 trial? (PI 11 was NOT installed on that machine when I was trying to run the trial version of PI 12.)

It's not possible to get a Vista-look Save As box for PI 11 because PI 11 is not programmed to be Vista compatible.

To get the Vista-look Save As box, you need to upgrade to PI 12 and then get the Vista patch for PI 12.

First you might need to right clicks on the PI icon and select Run as Administrator....
