Moved VS10 to new PC

Post by VS88 »

I have just moved my copy of VS10 from my old AMD3000+ system running XP Home, to a newly built E6600 PC which has a 7600GS with 512mb - running MCE as standard XP.

With exactly the same config settings VS10 is now showing a running 'Preview' when I use Create Video File to produce an edited MPEG - i.e. trimmed and ads removed - prior to creating DVD files.

This appears to be slowing down the Create Video Files process and I would like to turn it off - is it a setting I have missed or an automatic function of VS10 when it finds itself running on more powerful hardware, ie Dual Processor and 512k 7600

Help appreciated

Usually when you get a preview of your production during the share process the output setting don't match the input and the file is being re-rendered.

Yes I have now done further investigation and the files is indeed being re-rendered but it do not why or how to stop it being done.

This file is already compliant and VS8 processes it as such and very quickly on my new PC - when creating DVD files with 'do not convert compliant files' ticked.

I have recheck all my VS10 settings and can not find why it should be re-rendering a compliant file - does anyone have any suggestions please

I am selecting 'Create Video File' - 'Same as project settings'

Since nobody but you knows your settings it makes it kind of hard to offer accurate help. Please post the clip and project properties.

Finally found problem - in Create Video Files I had to set it to 'same as first clip' and not same as Project Settings
