Audio problem when I preview project

Post by cockaigne »

Video studio 9. When I preview my project, audio is just loud static. If I select clip preview, the audio is fine. I have just changed to a Core 2 Duo desktop with integrated sound, Symatel. Selecting LPCM or MPEG audio in preferences makes no difference. It worked fine on my Compaq notebook. Could use some help, thanks.

I just upgraded to VideoStudio 10, and this EXACT same thing is happening. I'm simply editing clips in VideoStudio 10, and when I preview, I get static and pops in the audio. Everything is fine with the audio, until a video starts playing. If an image is on the screen, and audio in the background, it's fine. When a video starts playing in the project during Preview, the audio goes the way of static.

If you select the certain clip, and play only the clip, there is no static. Play the project itself, and not just one clip, the static starts.

Clip properties:

Video: MPEG2 Video, 720x480, 29.97 fps, 8579 kpbs
Audio: Dolby AC3, 48000 Hz, 2 ch, 256 kbps

I've also experienced the same with corrupted sound when previewing the Project.
After creating a dvd the sound is good. Must be something in the way VS is fast previewing the project.
My source files are from a panasonic dvd recorder dolby 2/0 audio.
