I too am rather curious why a straight import works for me and not for you, so if anyone has any insight, please share.
TV - but the source really shouldn't matter.1) What type of video did you record (VHS, TV, Movie, etc.)?
No fancy settings, I just pressed record on my remote with the record mode set to SP (2nr).What recording settings did you use (One-Touch, Flexible, High-Quality, Normal)?
TDK (first class) DVD-RWWhat type of media did you use (Ram, -R, +R, etc.)?
Anything else you can think of which might be worth trying?
I'm afraid I'm out of ideas for the moment.
At least you can get your video in there now, that's something.
Edit: Using the method you have working, you may find that there are 'jumps' or 'glitches' at the join points. DVDShrink should be able to output your disc to a single VOB which will eliminate this issue, but it is another 'hoop to jump through'.
