Error with the DVD Movie Factory 2SE

Post by cihan ersan »

I had used the program since yesterday since I installed ACEMCP603PRO from ACE Design Software products. since that time whenever I try to open the the program it gives an error and says :

"No video I/O plug-in DLL available"

(16800:1:4)-error code

I reinstalled my windows XP (turned it to the way it was, before I installed ACEMCP603PRO)

After, I deleted the ULEAD DVD MF and installed it again. but, still I have the same DLL problem.

P.S. also, my QuickTime and iTunes doesn't work.

is there anyone to help? :(

I googled for your program and found this
ACE Mega CoDecS Pack 6.03 Short description

This is the lastest and greatest release of famous ACE Mega CoDecS Pack. In this codec pack you will find plenty of usefull CoDecS (CoderS/DeCoderS), Media Player FilterS, Media Players and other...
We have stated it here many times: If you install any of these multimega codec packs, more often then not, the troubles you get aren't worth the perceived benefit.
I guess this codec pack has messed with a dll that is not installed with either Windows or MF or both programs,as they should, leave the dll alone in order not to mess up your system.

If you revert back to a restore point prior to the installation of this codec crap, the registry will be restored to that point, not your dll's or any other data files.

Finding the offending dll, deleting it and reinstalling MF may be the only solution.

first, thank you very much for your reply and help. you have told me to find the offending dll but how am I going to do that?

ıs it a solution if I delete all the dlls in Windows System32, then, copy and paste all the dlls from another computer's Windows System32? can it be a solution? otherwise will it mess my system even more?

in my Windows System32 a lot of dll file has it's own varies like, catsrv.dll, catsrv(3).dll, catsrv(3)(2).dll, catsrv(2).dll...etc. Do you suggest me to delete these files in the name of "offending dll files" :?: :?

thank you very much

When you reinstalled WinXP, did you do what's called an "over-install" or repair? Since reinstalling did not seem to correct it, then what you may have to do is reformat your HDD, then reinstall.

As you found out, there are a tremendous amount of dll files. DO NOT just delete all the DLL files. You will render your system unusable.

If you must reformat, then once you have Windows installed, create your Video editing profile. Then install DVDMF first. Make sure it is going to work properly before proceeding to install other programs.
