I see that ulead indicates VS 10 Plus handles dvr-ms formats?
http://www.ulead.com/vs/compare2.htm
Does this mean on input or output?
I can't find anything in their help about it.
I can't find any input dialog that knows about this format?
What gives?

Ron,
Yes, I do actually know about the format as I have a few recordings in that format...but...how can I use this format WITH VIDEOSTUDIO?
If a product indicates it will allow you to use that format, if you pay additional $ for their Plus version, you would think they would support it. I can't find any features in their product to support it!

I don't have MCE on my computer. However, when I choose the Insert Video command (right click in either the library pane or timeline), then in the dialogue box which appears which allows you to browse to where your video is, it will say 'All formats' in the lower slot. If you click on the dropdown menu arrow to the right of this, my version of VS10+ at least certainly includes 'Microsoft DVD-MS files' amongst the acceptable formats...
Does your version not have that?

Nope...mine definitely does NOT include that. So what's up with ulead...are they releasing different versions of this? Or, since I don't have MCE on the same computer that I have VideoStudio on...maybe it isn't showing up...but that would be bogus.

I just purchased VS 10+...and it doesn't have this feature!

My reference to Microsoft DVD-MS files comes immediately after Cool3d and before AutoDesk...
And I certainly don't have anything at all remotely connected to MCE on my computer. Nor have I done anything fancy to VS10+, though I did a full reformat of my hard disk a few months ago, after which I did a fresh reinstall of VS10+.
And I see on the Ulead site that both VS10 and 10+ are supposed to support MCE.
So I am at a loss to explain why it is in mine but not in yours...
Might be the same gremlin that originally meant I was missing the whole Album transition and some other transitions when I first installed VS10+. The problem disappeared after I reformatted the HDD and reinstalled VS10+ before installing VS9 and VS8 (which I use for help purposes on this Board).
I am not suggesting you should consider reformatting. However, the tried and true uninstall, followed by a total registry clean out of all refs to VS10, and then a clean reinstall, might help...

That's the problem! It won't allow me to add one of these files. The file type doesn't even show up as one of the types. Other folks have confirmed THEIR installs do show this file type. Even if I show all files and select one of these files, it errors that it doesn't know anything about it.
My guess is ulead has gotten into trouble with M$ and now doesn't include this...of course, they still show it available on their website and don't help us who thought they had this in their last build.
Frustrated at their lack of help.
