Vista Patch Problem (vstudio)

Post by Queeg »

I'm using windows vista ultimate with Videostudio 10. My problem is when I install the vista patch videostudio cannot use any AVI codecs so a lot of my videos are unreadable. This does not happen, however, when I install the program but do not apply the patch. Although there are glitches with the program without it.

I read that some of the AVI codecs were disabled as they wern't supported in vista, but I haven't had any issues with them in other programs. Any ideas?

Okay I installed SP1 update and now I can read and edit the AVI files again yet I still can't use codecs when encoding to AVI. It's not a major problem now but still a little frustrating.
