I an using V10 video studio. Is it possible to use a video clip as an overlay on another video clip.
eg A person singing on a background video of las vegas

That would be possilbe using an overlay track and the chroma key function, assuming your singer is in front of a solid-colored background that could be keyed out.

As an example use the clips supplied by VS10:
1. Put clip V03 (blue swirly thing) in the Video Track.
2. Put clip V14 (girl in front of green background) in the Overlay Track (right click on the clip in the Preview Window and choose Fit To Screen if necessary).
3. On the Attribute Tab click Mask & Chroma Key.
4. Check the box that says Apply Overlay Options and choose Chroma Key from the drop down menu.
5. If it hasn't automatically keyed out the background color, click on the little Eye Dropper icon, then click on the green background of the clip in the Preview Window.
6. Adjust the Color Similarity if needed.
Voila, you now have a girl in front of a blue, swirly background.
If I didn't explain it clearly enough I think there is also a Tutorial for this. Below my signature is a link for the Tutorials forum.
