Acceptable audio clips?
Is it best to use only one audio type when making a home movie from a slide show? What is a good general rule for inserting music/audio?
Of course, the audio track will be converted to a single DVD-compatible format on the final DVD.* In theory, you should be able to feed Movie Factory a mix of formats. But, Some users have reported problems with MP3s.
The more compressed the format, the more likely it is to give you trouble. (The same is true with video.) For best results, all of your audio should be WAV files. 48kHz 16-bit WAV files would be ideal, since DVD audio is 48kHz 16-bit. CDs use 44.1 kHz 16-bit, and I've never had any trouble with 44.1 kHz WAV files ripped from CDs.
* If you had a professional DVD authoring program, you could have a 5.1 channel Dolby track, a 2 channel Dolby track with commentary, an LPCM track, a DTS track, etc. But, each individual track would remain consistant throughout the program.

Hi,
For supported audio file types, please refer to the system spec of DVD MovieFactory.
Ulead DVD MovieFactory - System Requirements:

However, Doug is right. For best results, you can use WAV as the source audio type, and that means you need to convert your source audio files to WAV files before you use them in DVDMF.
Hope this helps.
