Menu links that play a single chapter
I am creating a DVD of a local telethon (the music portion, not the fund-raising part). Each title video contains several songs by various artists. The entire telethon can be played, or various chapter points can be accessed to play from that point on. I would like to also have additional menus that list each musician, so that someone who likes country music, for example, could access that musician, and only play those songs. Is there a way to link the chapters representing each song, so it only plays that song (and not the remaining chapters from that title video); and then add subsequent chapters of that artist’s songs to the playlist? So if an artist has 6 songs, you can select the first song on her menu, and all 6 songs will be played. Or if you select the second song, only 5 songs will play. But no other chapters would play. Thanks!

Look in the manual for playlists. Ulead also has a tutorial on their website for more playlist fun. The key is, in your case, you will need to make each 'song' its own title.
DVDWS (or maybe the DVD spec) allows you to set multiple chapters in one title, but you cannot then skip around the chapters within a title.
So, with each song as a title, you can create playlists that have the titles you want in them. Note, there will be a slight stutter in the DVD as it moves from one title to the next, so most people put in a black transition between them.
Another possibility for you is to create separate titles for each artist with their songs (in a video editor). If your DVD has enough space, you could put those titles in, too, and avoid the stutter.
