Using Disc Creator 3: Using Copy Disc to copy a disc with about 2.85 G on it, I get a message Failed to make Power Calibration after it did the write disc image part. I got that message at about 16% to20% into the burn. At that point in the burn I Got the"error failed to make power caibraration". Please tell me why this is happeneing? The Problem came up when using Promedia brand DVD+ R discs. When I used another brand of disc it burned ok . Also ok using DVD+DW disc. The Pro media discs work ok when I use them for create a project from other mpeg ,jpg, and etc files. Those discs also work ok for other burning of data and etc.
What is Power Calibration mean in the burning of discs.
Thank You,
Jack

When start to burn, the burner will check a power calibration area on the media so it can adjust its writing laser head to a proper power level to burn the media. If it has some errors when checking the calibration area, then you will see the error message to show up. This might be occured because:
1. Poor media quality.
2. The power level of the laser writing head in the burner is not high enough to burn the media.
If it's case 1, then it will be solved by replacing the media. If it's case 2, then you might need to check the burner.
The power level every time you burn might not be the same, so you might be able to burn it successfully once but failed another time.
Hope this helps.
