I authored some mpeg files using Ulead DVD Workshop 2, but when I watch them on my TV (SONY Widescreen HD) or portable DVD player, the left and right borders are cropped badly. I don't understand this, all the files are 720x480 mpeg-2, 100% DVD compliant (rendered in Sony Vegas), they play on the PC without any sign of cropping and when importing in Ulead DVD workshop and testing the DVD project, there isn't any cropping either.
Do I have to re-encode all my files adding a black box around the picture or how can I fix this the most efficient way (hopefully without re-encoding everything)? Any help is appreciated.
