HELP! AUDIO problem

Post by Vitaia »

after burning DVD and watching it on our DVD player found out I have no sound! The only sound I have when the menu is playing, but all the clips are mute! I have burned a few DVDs before - never had problem... not sure what I might done differently... I am still experimenting with the settings...
MPEG
24 720x576, 25
Lower first
DVD-PAL 16:19
Audio Var (max 8000)
448
48 3/2
The thing is I don't know exactly the settings I made for my previous movies (don't remember)

I am afraid that the properties you give for the audio don't mean anything:
Audio Var (max 8000)
448
48 3/2
Thank you for your computer details, but you don't even tell us which version of Video Studio you are using, let alone where the video you used came from or its properties. We also need to know what your work flow was.

It is, for instance, possible that your original video came from a DVD or a camera which uses Dolby. And you may have a version of VS which does not have the Dolby codec. VS10+ can handle Dolby 5.1, VS10 and VS9 can handle Dolby dual channel stereo; and VS8 could as well with a special plug-in which is no longer available.

For licensing reasons, Dolby is not included in SE versions or the trial versions.

I am using VS10+, video came from VideoCam SONY HDR-HC3E on HDV mode, edited and created video files, then created disk with menu and burned the DVD, and as I said, I don't know what I did different from all my previous DVDs......

Ah, an HD camera. I am afraid I don't have one so cannot comment any further.

You will need to wait till John Hunter or maddrummer, who are our resident HD gurus, come on line...
