After I have edited my MPEGs (removed unwanted segments), I create a DVD in a folder on my local drive. I review the DVD output there and if everything is good, I copy it to a DVD (disk).
Issue: I have been getting an occasional click or pop that does not show up until I create the DVD folder on my local.
When I review the edited MPEG on the timeline, I don't hear the pop/click. When I create the DVD output to my local folder, then it appears. I have looked at the separate audio and don't see anything out of the ordinary. It seems to be happening where I make the segment cuts in the MPEGS. I have tried several different output setups, but nothing has worked so far. Does anyone have any ideas about this issue? - Thanks

What are your audio properties? I've tried using Dolby a few times, but always seem to get the occasional pop or crackle. When I use LPCM the audio is perfect.

I read your suggestion and tried it hoping it would work for me, but it didn't. I have tried both HQ and GQ (I default to dolby) and the pop was still there. I have sliced off some of the offending segment and even added a two second of blank mpeg segment before it the offending segment. You would think that you could see a large fluxuation on the audio but I don't see anything out of the ordinary.
Do you have any suggestions about the edit process? I find the section I want to remove. Mark it with the scissors and remove it. I save the .vsp after each edit. After editing all MPEGs are then exported to the DVD file for review. - Thanks

Instead of cutting with the scissors, why not just try marking in and out points. Worth a try, right?

I am using 10 Plus (Full).
I read that I should not use the timeline, but open a new project and go to share create disk. This is what I have been doing.
It seems to me that Ulead has not given enough explanation to their various settings and options. There are a lot of combinations of settings. Kind of like the lottery. For me, it has been trial and error and that takes so much time. Thanks for you input.
