PictureShow 4 Trial Duration

Post by gwennabeme »

Hey guys! I'm new and I just downloaded a trial version of PictureShow 4. The website says the trial version is for 30 days, but when I open the program it says its only 15 days. Anyone else experience this?

You didn't try tinkering with your computers date/time did you?
If you try to get round the 30 day limit you very often lose whatever is remaining.

gwennabeme, I am with you. I downloaded the trial version, and it started with only 15 days trial, not 30.

Me too, I didn't try to tinkering with computer date/time as sjj1805 'accused'...

BTW how can sjj1805 be so positive that it is 30-day trial and not 15?

Unless the new owners (Corel) have changed things and forgotten to update their website it states 30 days. Click Here.

Read my sentence again, I asked a question not made an accusation.

That's a question not well asked.

They must have changed things and forgotten to update their website. I sent them an email a few days ago and haven't heard back :(

O.K. 3 separate users shouldn't be getting the same issue. I have sent an Email to Ulead requesting clarification.

I finally got a reply, here's what they said:

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your email.

The system might have detected that you have used the trial version eventhough you just downloaded and installed in your PC. Because we sometimes get reports from users about the trial period expiring earlier than it should be. However, we haven't been able to generate a solution to the problem. We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused. Here are also some alternatives you could try after the 15-day trial period ends:

1. You can reinstall your operating system then the trial program.
2. Install the trial program in another computer.
3. Wait until a newer trial version is released.
4. Download another copy of the trial version.
5. Download the trial onto a disk using another computer that has internet connection, then install it on your computer.

Should you have any inquiries, please feel free to email us back.

Have a nice day!
