Is there such a thing as a good convertor to go from vob to mpeg free?

Not free trial. Free program?

I must be dreaming,

VOB 2 MPG

P.S.
If you own Video Studio, try the DVD Import feature. Of course, both of these are for non-commercial DVDs. The won't work on comercial CSS copy-protected DVDs.

Thanks Steve J, but free is not really free!

Either they are trial versions that run out or they don't work at all.
I tried my hand with the "Batch Converter" from inside the program to change vob to avi. (Vob’s did not have sound) so I may try to change them over to avi's. The converter took two hours and was not done at bedtime so I let it run through the night.

Thanks for your reply and trying to help,

Bill
