MP3 Probelms Fix!!

A few people are having problems using MP3 files in Videostudio 10. I found a way to be able to use MP3 files in your projects.
Go to C:\program files\common files\ulead systems\mpeg
Delete any files that hve mp3 in the name, like ulmp3enc.ax_ and others.
You should be then able to put MP3 files into your projects.
I also worked out that if you try and put MP3 files into your project, without deleting the above files, and they won't work. Open the mp3 file with audio filter and voila! the mp3 file will now play in your project.

I hope that helps some poor unfortunate users out there..

I am gald it worked for you. But I am not sure I can recommend the same drastic cure to everyone. The fact is that a lot of people -- myself included -- use mp3 with no problem. It just seems to be a few people using certain kinds of mp3 codec that have the problem. Yet your "cure" would seem to affect all users...

I suppose, though, that the proof is in the pudding...!

I agree and must be lucky. In my limited projects so far I have used nothing but MP3's without any problems and no modifications. In fact the audio software I use, a very old version of GoldWave, allows for editing and then saving into MP3.
