Alpha Channel

Post by Gra »

Hi Guys

I'm making a title for use in MediaStudioPro eight, to sync with some music, but when I import it as a c3d file it's all jerky and doesn't play right. I've set it to the same format PAL format of 720x576. However, it works perfect if I output as an AVI.

I thought I read somewhere that it is possible to output an AVI in a way that keeps the Alpha channel: Is this true or am I imagining things?
Thanks & regards.

Yes you may. What version of Cool3D are you using? With C3DPS, you selectFile>Export Video Overlay, then choose either AVI or TGA. AVI for video. This then creates the 32bit AVI, that can be used to overlay video. 24bit video is absent the alpha (transparency) channel.
