changing standard folder

Hello,
I bought a camera that uses Ulead AutoDetector. The moment, the camera gets connacted to the computer, one's requested to confirm the download process. After pressing the right button on the camera, the pictures are automatically downloaded into a standard directory. Although I altered the settings in Ulead Photo Explorer, the problem still exists. Under File\camera assistant I could change the path. The only thing that happens is that a new folder is generated at the end of the new path, but it stays empty. The pictures still will be copied into the old standard path. Unfortunatally I couldn't find a proper way, to change this directory. Does anybody know what there's to be done?
